Furobashi Bridge

Furobashi Bridge is an arch-shaped stone bridge built by order of Tokugawa Harutaka, the lord of the Kishu domain, and was built when the Toshogu Shrine's inn in Kataonami Matsubara was relocated. Construction of this bridge began in 1850 and was completed the following year (1851). When the waka festival was held at Toshogu Shrine, which enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu, the Tokugawa family and Toshogu officials used this path as the ``onarimichi'' heading to their travel destination.
